Tab Trade - The Short Version
TabTrade.com went live in Q1 2026. CFD broker based in Saint Lucia, under Saint Lucia's FSRA. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, the New Zealand-regulated broker.
The BlackBull connection tells you something. It says the person running this is not figuring it out from scratch. That is not a guarantee. It is preferable to a founder with no industry background.
TabTrade came out of the gate with Equinix data centre access in London. Same data centres prime brokers run on. Usually a new brokerage focuses on ads and sign-up promos. These guys led with infrastructure. Not the typical playbook.
Market coverage: FX, stock indices, gold, silver, commodities, equities, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds. A wide spread. For a platform that is a few months old, that coverage is broad.
Platforms
Available: MetaTrader 5, cTrader, and a WebTrader. Both MT5 and cTrader from a single account. Many commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Getting both is useful. You are not locked into one.
MetaTrader 5 is what most people know. Full charting, Expert Advisors, tons of scripts and indicators. If you have used MT4 or MT5 previously, there are no surprises.
cTrader is the alternative. Better DOM. More responsive charts. Native automated trading. A lot of traders like it better than MT5 after comparing.
FIX API is there for automated strategies but requires the VIP tier ($25k minimum). TradingView charting is reportedly on the roadmap. That would make the platform set when it arrives.
What You Pay
Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. 1.0 pip spreads. No commission. Straightforward. No minimum deposit. Works for beginners.
Edge. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips average. Commission of $3.50 each way. What you actually pay: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On majors, the raw spread is frequently under 0.2 pips. Meaning your real cost sometimes sits below 0.5 pips. That is cheap for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most platforms that offer pricing like this ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. Tab Trade requires zero deposit.
VIP. $25,000 minimum. FIX connectivity, sub-20ms execution, tailored rates. Not relevant to most retail traders. Do not worry about it unless you move real size.
How Fast Are the Fills
The speed is where TabTrade stands apart. Equinix data centres. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. These are institutional numbers. The average platform operate at 100ms to 300ms.
Does this affect you? For short-term trading, it does. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is profit or loss on tight trades. If you swing trade, you probably will not feel it. But the fact that the infrastructure is there. That is they are not cutting corners on the tech.
Put together that infrastructure with the Edge account pricing and the total package is strong. Hardly anyone in this bracket offer execution like this.
Regulation
Here is the thing that requires honesty. TabTrade is regulated by the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is offshore. No FCA. No investor compensation scheme. If that is a problem for you, stop reading. There are FCA-regulated options out there.
But. The person running it came from BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The Equinix infrastructure is not cheap. Dodgy operations do not pay for proper execution infrastructure. None of this replace tier-1 regulation. It does inform your assessment.
The deal: no FCA or ASIC safety net. For that: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether this deal works depends on you.
